William R. “Bill” Howlett

Oriskany Falls-William R. “Bill” Howlett, 60, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at his home with his loved ones at his side.

Bill was born on June 15, 1964, in Utica, the son of Arthur and Mary Elinskas Howlett.  A life-long resident of Oriskany Falls, Bill graduated from Oriskany Falls High in 1982.  He had worked at the Feed Mill in Oriskany Falls, Dairylea in Vernon, Oneida Limited for 18 years, and Covidian in Oriskany Falls.

He is survived by his parents Art and Mary Howlett of Oriskany Falls; two sisters Barbie Howlett of Oriskany Falls, Judy (Fiddle) Godina of Texas; two brothers Philip (Holly) Howlett of Texas, and Joseph Howlett of Oriskany Falls; his nephew Peyton Howlett; and his niece Hope Howlett.   Several aunts, uncles, cousins; and a very special paw family member “Jack.”

Bill is also survived by his companion of over 12 years, Ruby Ebersold. They have enjoyed traveling, NASCAR, NY Yankee’s and Friday night “Date Night.”  He also leaves behind a special family, Dave and Carol Way, along with their family members of Verona.

Bill’s family extends heartfelt thanks to the Nurses of Hospice for the loving care given to Bill.

A Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 10 AM with the Rev. John Donovan, Pastor, as Celebrant. Following the funeral mass, there will be a reception at the church’s parish house. There will be no public calling hours.  Interment will be made in St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  Compassionate and Personal care is being provided to Bill and his family by Jeffrey T.
