William Morgan Hickman, 78 years old of Madison, NY went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2019. Bill passed peacefully in his favorite sunroom with his family gathered to say good-bye. Bill was born on August 25, 1940 in Delaware County, PA to the late William and Georgette Hickman Sr. He was a graduate of Williams College and spent his working days at Procter & Gamble, Oneida Silversmiths, Utica College, and Syracuse University. He married the love of his life, Judith (Rice) on February 17, 1991. A revered professor of marketing, Bill and his wife Judy traveled to many foreign countries, visiting former students who kept the bond of friendship alive after school. There were also many festive dinners at the Hickman home attended by family, friends, and students. Bill was an avid golfer, reader, and pitch player, and he loved to teach anyone who was willing to learn. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend. He was always there for his family and friends, always wearing a contagious smile on his face and having a kind word to say. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Bill was a regular attendee at either the Randallsville New Life Church or the Lairdsville United Methodist Church as both were dear to his heart. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Judith of 28 years, his sisters, Pink Byrd of North Carolina, and Jane Hickman of California, his daughters Lisa Gray of Marcy, Melanie Latham of Watertown, Chrystal Brouillette (Jim Rodgers) of North Carolina, a son Dale (Ginger) Klein of Madison, and daughters Karen (Rudy) Brouillette of Madison, and Raechelle (Zane) Elliott of Knoxboro. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Paul Bischoff, Fred & Sylvia Nentwick, Brian, Brady, Azriel, Sonora, and DJ Klein, Zephora, Rudy, and Malloy Brouillette, and Nora Elliott. He has left a lasting imprint on their hearts and we will be forever grateful for his influence in their lives.Funeral services and a celebration of Bill's life will be at the Lairdsville United Methodist Church, Route 5, Lairdsville, on Saturday, July 6, 2019. The family will receive visitation from 10-11 a.m. at the church and a celebration of life service will begin at 11:15.
