Utica-Wendy Mae Lollman, 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at The Grand Assisting Living Center in Utica, where she had been a resident for the last eight years.

Wendy was born on September 29, 1954 in Hamilton, the daughter of the Harold and Laurel (Duell) Lollman.  She attended Madison Central School, graduating in 1972.  Wendy furthered her education by graduating from SUNY Brockport.  She returned to her alma mater Madison Central School, where she taught history for seven years.  Wendy later moved to Mentor, Ohio, where she worked in several different vocations for several years.   In August of 2016, Wendy returned to the local area to be near her family.

She endured several health issues the last nine years. Even through this was a difficult time in her life, Wendy was such a loving, caring, and compassionate individual, always showing kindness to others.  She enjoyed jig saw puzzles, crossword puzzles, and reading.  Wendy was also a talented crafter, always creating decorations for all to enjoy on the fifth floor of The Grand.  Whatever the occasion or holiday theme, Wendy would brainstorm decorations for the season.  She took pleasurer in planting flowers in the court yard, as well as feeding the squirrels nuts.  Wendy loved the squirrels to a point that she would forgive them, which at times they would destroy her beautiful flower beds that she had planted.

A loving and caring sister, Wendy is survived by her siblings: Rebecca (David) Lollman, Jeffrey Lollman, and Leslie Lollman, all of Madison, Cynthia Lollman of Dumas, TX, Philip (Sandy) Lollman of Belton, MO, Bonnie (Peter) Hryb of Westmoreland, Mark (Erin) Lollman of Madison, Christine (Richard) Hairfield of Petersburg, VA, Jill (Bruce) Whipple of Dallas, GA, and Tracy (George “Nate”) Jellerson of Chesterfiled, VA.  Wendy is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews, and 22 grandnieces and grandnephews.

She predeceased by both her parents Harold and Laurel Lollman.

Wendy’s family will gather privately to honor her life.  Her interment will be in Madison Village Cemetery.   Compassionate and personal care is being provided to Wendy and her family by Jeffrey T.
