Virginia M. "Pinny" MisiaszekOriskany Falls-Virginia M. "Pinny" Misiaszek, 25 days before tuning 100 years old, passed away peacefully at the Crouse Community Center on Monday, December 6, 2021.Pinny was born on December 31, 1921, in Franklin Springs, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sadie MacPherson Tallman. In Old Forge in 1941, she married John Misiaszek. Their loving union lasted over 53 years until John's passing, in 1994. Pinny enjoyed a life-long career until her retirement from the former Chesebrough Ponds Plant in Oriskany Falls.Surviving is a daughter, Carol Jordan of Oriskany Falls; her three sons and their spouses: Stephen and Arlene Misiaszek of Sebring, FL, Joseph and Barbara Misiaszek of Oriskany Falls, and Michael and Kathy Misiaszek also of Oriskany Falls; her sister and constant companion, Joanne Jipson of Oriskany Falls. She also is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.Pinny was predeceased by her loving husband John, in 1994, and her cherished son John, in 1987; her parents Joseph and Sadie; her sisters: Helen Vivian, Esthyn Frost, Monica Owens, and Bernice Bassett; her brothers: Joseph Tallman, Robert Tallman, Lyle Tallman, James Tallman, Donnie Tallman, Frank Tallman, and Jimmy Tallman.A special thank you to Jesse Rocker Newell, for all the love and compassion given to Pinny. Her family gathered privately on Saturday, December 11, 2021, to honor Pinny's life, with Pastor Clarence Haflin officiating. Interment followed in Hillside Cemetery, Oriskany Falls.
