Viola G. "Trudy" BordelonBouckville-Viola G. "Trudy" Bordelon, 85, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home, on Monday, December 16, 2019.She was born June 25, 1934, in Baton Rouge, LA, the daughter of the late Clinton and Iola Hull Kelley. She was raised in Baton Rouge and after high school furthered her education at Louisiana State University, (LSU). While at LSU, Trudy found her soul-mate, Joseph H. Bordelon. They were married on July 10, 1953. Trudy worked as an executive assistant while her husband finished his degree program at LSU and later until she and Joe were transferred to Australia in 1968. Upon graduation, Joe held a career long position as a Senior Geophysicist with Humble Oil that later merged into Exxon Mobil. Joe and Trudy traveled the world together, both domestic and foreign, living in Sydney, Australia, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia finally retiring to their home in Bouckville. Their loving and joyous union lasted 50 years until Joe's passing in 2003. Trudy and Joe had a deep love for each other. They passed their deep bond of love onto their children and grandchildren. Family was very important to Trudy, and she will be greatly missed by all that loved her.Trudy leaves behind her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Vincent Raisa; her beloved son, David Bordelon; her beloved grandchildren Vincent Joseph Raisa, Bryan Kelley Raisa, Cassie Lee Bordelon, and Nikki Bordelon; her sister Ruth Young (Renee); her two brothers, J.C. Kelley and Richard Kelley and several nieces and nephews.Trudy was predeceased by her parents, Clinton and Iola; her treasured husband, Joseph H. Bordelon and her brother Clinton Kelley, Jr. In keeping with Trudy's wishes, funeral services are private at the convenience of the family. Trudy will be buried in the Family Plot in Baton Rouge, LA.
