Travis C. ChesebroBrookfield-Travis C. Chesebro, 36, entered the heavens, as a result of an automobile accident in the Town of Brookfield, on Sunday, March 20, 2022.Travis was born in Hamilton on April 25, 1985, the son of Donald C. and Melissa J. Davenport Chesebro. He was raised in Brookfield and was a graduate of Brookfield Central High School. Most recently, Travis was employed by the Circle K Convenience Store located in Sangerfield. He loved his position at the store. He was known to always greet customers, with a big hello, and all feel as though they were family. Travis lived his life on his own terms, but always found time to care for family and his community. Since the age of sixteen, he had been a Volunteer Fireman for the Brookfield Fire Department and the Leonardsville Fire Department. He was also known to answer the call for help, when neighboring fire departments demanded more manpower. Travis was a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews, sharing his knowledge of the great outdoors and especially the Brookfield State Lands with them. They would make special times by fishing, hiking, camping, gardening, and just having any kind fun together. Travis was proud of his Irish heritage, Irish Song, and Irish Beer. He made sure he was in proper attire on St. Patrick's Day by wearing his Irish Kilt at work. He had a vast knowledge in the subjects of history and science. From the fifth grade on, he could recite the United States Constitution by heart. A bit of a teacher, he would always enjoy sharing his knowledge with others. Family and friends were a "center" of Travis' life. There were many special times, when all would gather, enjoying each other's company. Cook outs were his favorite, there was always great food, great laughs, bonfires, and special memories made at the "boowah," his name for the family patio. No matter when the event was held, Travis was always there, being the "life" of the party. To remember Travis, is to remember, he was a friend to all, he had a "green thumb," he could make anything grow, as a matter of fact, he would have made a fortune as a cannabis farmer. But most of all, his love for us and the memories we shared will be with us all for eternity. His passing is mourned by his parents, Donald and Melissa; his brothers, Paul (Stacy) Chesebro, and Joshua (the late Sabrina Gray); his sister Laken (Robert) Tripp; his nieces and nephews, Paul and Stacy's children Jessilynn, Josephine, Jordan, Forrest; Joshua's daughter Emma Rose; Laken and Roberts's children, Jacob and Brailynn; his brothers and sisters in Fire Service; special friends, Stacy Chesebro, Beaner and Brandon King, Josh and Mike Jennings, Katie Lister; all the Domion girls; and a very dear and special friend, Samantha Young. Travis is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.Travis was predeceased by his grandparents Floyd and Mary Chesebro, Leland and Emilie Davenport, his uncle Cyle Chesebro, his great uncle Don Chesebro, and his life-long friend FUD King.Special thanks to all Travis' aunts and uncles for always having open doors. There will be a Celebration of Travis' Life to be held on April 2, 2022, from 1-4 PM, at the Johnson Rogers American Legion Post 1492, 10789 Miner Road, Brookfield, all are invited to attend.
