Theresa "Tari" A. Pedersen Woolsey 1971-2017 Mrs. Theresa "Tari" A. Woolsey, 46, a lifelong resident of Brookfield, passed away tragically on Sunday, July 16, 2017 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Theresa was born in Utica on March 16, 1971 the daughter of Thomas and Aurelia (Kabana) Pedersen. She was raised in Brookfield, was a graduate of Brookfield Central School and the College of Johnson and Wales. For many years, Tari was employed as executive chef with the Delta Lake Inn. On August 2, 1997, Tari married Douglas A. Woolsey. Tari and Doug enjoyed many activities together, including, camping, motorcycle riding, shuffleboard, Steelers Games, Mardi Gras and bowling. Tari was very well known and loved for her extraordinary baking and cooking skills as well as her love for Mickey Mouse. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brookfield. Tari is survived by her parents, Tom and Aurelia "Weasel" Pedersen of Brookfield; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Tom and Sandy Pedersen of Whitesboro; Andy Pedersen and Billie Jo of Waterville; and, one sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Bill Lomanto of Westmoreland; her mother-in-law Sharon Woolsey and Clint Abrams of Brookfield; her step-mother-in-law, Deb Woolsey; six nieces, Karlee, Megan, Ally, Samantha (Scott), Elizabeth (David) and Brittany (Jerry); three nephews, Shane, Harley (Jordan) and Brett; two great nieces, Aryanah and Isabella; four great nephews, Nicholas, Leo, Landon and Finn; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sherry and Joe Perretta; one brother-in-law, Ed Woolsey and Tammy, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many many friends. Also surviving are two special furry friends, Maggie and Lucky. She was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents and her father-in-law, Art Woolsey. Calling hours for family and friends are Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Brookfield followed by a service officiated by Pastor Mark Thall at the conclusion of calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Brookfield in Tari's memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to Paul Funeral Home, Brookfield.
