Stanley F. WrattenMadison-Stanley F. Wratten, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at home located on the family farm, with his beloved wife and children at his side.He was born on the family farm, on July 20, 1933, in North Brookfield, the son of the late Everett and Cordelia Keith Wratten. In Oriskany Falls on August 10, 1954, Stan married Shirley Hewitt. He devoted his life to farming, and along with Shirley, raising their four sons on the family farm. His sons carry on the traditions of the family farm today. Stan was also a familiar face at many cattle auctions. He will most be remembered as a hard working farmer, a devoted husband, and family man. Stan is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Shirley; his sons Kenneth Wratten and Gene Wratten , both of Madison, his son Steve Wratten, and his companion, Sonja Jantzen, of Hubbardsville, and Wayne Wratten, and his wife, Carrie, of Oriskany Falls; his beloved 7 grandchildren, and one great granddaughter; his sister-n-law Ginny Wratten, of North Brookfield; and a brother-in-law, John Weaver, of Brookfield. Several nieces and nephews also survive Stan.He was predeceased by his parents, Everett and Cordelia, his sisters, Jeanne Neff and Phyllis Weaver, and his brother Wendell Wratten.Private family funeral services will be held at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison. Interment will be in Graham Cemetery, Hubbardsville.
