Sharon L. PerezIthaca/Oriskany Falls-Sharon L. Perez, 58, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 12, 2020, with the love and support of her family by her side, at the Cayuga Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.She was born in Oneida on December 10, 1962, the daughter of Matthew J. and Annella French Williams. Sharon was raised in Oriskany Falls and graduated from Oriskany Falls High School. She continued her education and was a Licensed Practical Nurse. Sharon spent her work career at various nursing homes. Sharon was a devoted care giver to all her patients. She had a love of the outdoors, cats, dogs,, gardening and spicy foods. Most of all she was friend that was always there to help with a smile and a personality that will be deeply missed.Sharon is survived by her stepfather Douglas Mariano of Oriskany Falls, and his companion Audrey Wilcox; her brother and sister-in-law James and Betty Williams of Deansboro; her niece Sara Roback, and her husband Chris of Victor; her nephew Steven Eilers, and his companion Jessica VanWieren of Deansboro. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends also survive Sharon.She was predeceased by her father and mother Matthew and Annella.Sharon's family extends a special thank you to the staff, nurses and doctors at the Cayuga Medical Center's ICU Unit and the Fourth Floor Ward. Your compassionate care will always be remembered. Family funeral services will be private. There will be a visitation to be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison from 11AM until 1 PM. Due to the current Covid-19 Crisis, facial masks must be worn, social distancing must be maintained and adjusted total capacity must be followed. Interment will be made in Stockbridge Cemetery.
