Sharon L. Crawford
Binghamton/Oriskany Falls-Sharon Lee Crawford, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at UHS Wilson Hospital in Johnson City.
She was born in Norwich on April 21, 1947, the daughter of the late Earl F. and Edyth P. Nelson Eggleston. Sharon was raised in Norwich and was a graduate of Norwich High School. She married Rodney Crawford in Norwich in 1962, a loving union of 57 years until Rodney’s passing in 2019. Sharon had been a long-time resident of Oriskany Falls until moving to Binghamton shortly after Rodney’s passing. Sharon was a devoted and loving mother, always thinking of her children and grandchildren before herself. She loved her position at the C.W. Clark Memorial Library in Oriskany Falls. She would always greet patrons with a warm, friendly, and helpful smile. Sharon especially enjoyed reading stories during Children’s Storytime Hour.
Sharon is survived by her beloved children, Shane Crawford of Norwich, Stephanie Crawford of Sherburne, and Teal (Tony) Yajko of Binghamton; cherish grandchildren:
Calvin Yajko, Aiden Yajko, and Owen Yajko. Sharon is also survived by nieces, nephews, and close friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Earl and Edyth, her beloved husband Rodney, and her cherished son Travis.
