Robert B. WilliamsEaton-Robert B. Williams, 81, passed away peacefully with the love and support of his family, by his side, on Monday, February 12, 2018, at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.Bob was born in Glen Cove, Long Island, on October 5, 1936, the son of the late, Anna Gross (Sipft) and George Gross. Bob grew up in Hicksville and graduated from Hicksville High School. In Shirley, NY, Bob married the love of his life, Gail A. Williams. Their loving union lasted over 21, years until Gail's passing in 2007. Bob loved to work with his hands, and enjoyed his life-long profession as a general contractor. There came a time when Bob and Gail wanted to the escape big city life, moving to the Eaton-Lebanon area. After many years of construction, Bob became interested in the antique collecting and sales. He had worked at the Pavilion Antique House and the Cedar House Antique Store. Bob was also known as "Chief" a dart player, belonging to numerous leagues. Bob also had a great love for his Saint Bernard Tucker and Rottweiler Hussein. Most of all, he will be remembered for his deep love for Gail, and thankful for the love, and the care given to him by his daughter, Julie, and her children, who were closest to Bob; Hope, Austin, and Christopher.Bob is survived by his children, his beloved daughter, and caregiver, Julie Williams, and her companion, Scott Haitian, of Eaton, Clifford (Jane) Williams of NY, John (Loraine) Williams, of FL, Susan (Kenny) Adams, of FL, Roberta Williams, and her companion, John, Mary (Dave) Gandia, of NM, Maria (Don) Searles, of Earlville, and Kathleen (Tom) Umlauft, of Patchogue, NY, and Gilbert Searles, of Fort Montgomery, NY; his brother, Clifford (Rosy) Williams, of Ridge , NY; his best friends, who were also his grandchildren, Hope Reynolds, Austin Reynolds, and Christopher Fuller, along numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bob was predeceased by his parents and his beloved wife, Gail.In keeping with Bob's wishes, funeral services and visitation will be private with interment in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Hamilton, in the spring.
