Robert C. JonesBrookfield-Robert C. Jones, 82, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at his home with the love and support of his wife Betty, and his children.Bob was born in Leonardsville on February 9, 1939, the son of the late Lee and Virginia Nickerson Jones. On October 3, 1959, in Cedarville, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth Jennison. Bob had retired from H. M. Quackenbush with ten years of service. He had previously been employed by Chicago Pneumatic for 34 years. Bob was a life resident of Brookfield and was always there to support the community. He was a 50-year member of the Brookfield Fire Department, and active in the Brookfield Rod and Gun Club. Bob also was a member of the Brookfield First Baptist Church. Bob was a devoted family man and was always there to help anyone, no matter the need.Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Betty; his daughter and son-in-law Katherine and James Plows of Brookfield; his son and daughter-in-law David and Sandy Jones of Brookfield; his son Charles Jones and his companion Veronica Laymon; nine beloved grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A special neighbor, Denise Johnson also survives Bob.He was predeceased by his parents Lee and Virginia.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Brookfield. There will be no prior calling hours. All attending are requested to please wear a facial mask while attending the service.
