Robert J. BelushNorwich-Robert J. Belush, 62, passed away peacefully, with his loved ones by his side, following life-long medical conditions, on Monday, August 19, 2019, at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital.He was born in Hamilton on August 10, 1957, the son of Joseph and Florence Smith Belush. Bob was raised in the Sherburne-Earlville area, and he was a 1975 graduate of the Sherburne-Earlville High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the US Navy. It was during his tour in the Navy, Bob became disabled. His disability followed him throughout his life. While in the Navy, Bob got to see the world and carried those fond memories with him. He was a skillful artist that would create beautiful art pieces. His art pieces would be comprised of many different subjects, and created in a variety of mediums. Bob had a deep appreciation of the beauty that surrounded him in the Chenango Valley, and it provided many artist inspirations. Bob was a "big hearted" guy, and will be deeply missed by all that loved Bob, especially his family.He is survived by his father, Joe Belush, of Earlville; his siblings: Gary L. Belush, and his wife Tina, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Eileen S. Buell, and her husband, Edward, of Hamilton, Douglas A. Belush, and his wife, Martha, of Smyrna, DE, Joanne L. Whitt, and her husband, Jim, of Elizabethtown, KY. Bob is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. He is also survived by his long-time companion Lynnette Earle, of Norwich.He was predeceased by his mother, Florence.Private family funeral services will be held with Naval Military Honors, on Friday, August 23, 2019. In keeping with Bob's wishes there will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Madison Village Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
