Robert L. Bassett Obituary
Robert L Bassett
Robert L Bassett, 76, of Oriskany Falls, passed away peacefully, on Friday, June 5, 2026, at his home. He was born on November 6, 1949 in Hamilton, the son of the late CJ and Bernice Bassett.
Robert was a loving father and proud grandfather. He is survived by his children: Sheree (Christian) Steinmann, Amy (Michael) Forrester, Joseph (Ashley) Bassett, Ashley (Michael) DelVecchio, Angel Bassett; his beloved and cherished grandchildren: Kassidy, Spencer, Hailey, Kaiden, Benny, Anthony, and Kyler; as well as an eagerly awaited great granddaughter. Robert is further survived by his beloved four legged companion, Bailey. One of twelve children, he also leaves behind one brother and several sisters; many nieces and nephews; and close friends.
Whether he was making his rounds around the neighborhood or tinkering with his lawn mowers; Robert was happiest behind the wheel of his golf cart.
We take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his parents, the mother of his children Susan Stolarcyk, his son, Jessy Ray Bassett, his brothers William “Billy,” Clinton “Murph,” Stanley “Dick” and Howie; along with his nephews, Mikey Bikowsky and Benjamin Massey.
