Raymond E. MaineWest Edmeston-Raymond E. Maine, 50, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 9, 2021.He was born in Utica on December 17, 1970, the son of the late Ralph O. Maine Sr. and Barbara Jean Abrams Maine. Ray was raised in West Edmeston area and attended Mount Markum High School. He worked at KASCON Corporation of Waterville as an Asbestos Abatement Technician. He had previously worked in the asbestos removal business for Two Brothers Company of Whitesboro. Ray had also worked for Titian Homes Manufacturing as an electrician. Ray was known to play as hard as he worked. He enjoyed his motorcycle and all fun and excitement of riding. Ray was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was always "the life of the party," with no one knowing what crazy and funny thing he might do next. Ray had many "loves" in his life, but family was the most important. He will be remembered as a loving and caring son, brother, uncle and loyal friend.Ray is survived by his siblings: Joyce M. (Edward) Kabana of Leonardsville, Luretta (Raymond) Finch of West Exeter, and Margo Maine also of Leonardsville; his brother John (Jennifer) Maine of Plainfield. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.He was predeceased by his mother and father Ralph Sr. and Barbara, and brothers Ralph Jr. and Randy.There will be a celebration of Ray's life to held on Saturday, April 17, at the Brookfield American Legion Post, Miner Road, Brookfield from 2-5 PM. Private interment will be made in Leonardsville Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Brookfield.
