Paul R. CarneyEaton-Paul R. Carney, 63, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center, with his beloved wife Carol at his side, following a courageous battle against cancer.He was born in Utica on July 22, 1953, the son of the late Edward and Mina Slater Carney. Paul was raised on the family farm and had attended Madison High School. In 1984, in Munnsville , he married Carol Seeley. Paul had been a self-employed carpenter. He had also worked at SUNY Morrisville.He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Carol; two sisters, Clara Bortle, and her husband John, of Oneida, and Elaine Arnold, and her husband, Larry, of Clifton Park, two brothers, Harold Carney and his wife, Brenda, of Oriskany Falls, and Edward Carney, of Munnsville; several nieces, nephews and close friends.Paul was predeceased by a brother, Joseph, and an infant brother, Charles.Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at 3 PM, at the Graham Cemetery in Hubbardsville. In keeping with Paul's wishes, there will be no calling hours.
