Philhower,76, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at her home with the love and support of her children at her side, following a courageous battle against cancer. She was born in Brooklyn on March 17, 1943, the daughter of the late Edmund, Sr. and Catherine Jahr Marx. She was raised in Patchogue, NY and attended local schools. On November 16, 1963, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, in Patchogue, Pat married H. She had spent her career driving public school bus for many years in Long Island, later driving and retiring from the Madison Central School District, completing a 30-year career. Pat was an avid and tremendous baker and cook that freely offered and provided her creation to so many. The school children on her bus were never without fresh cookies. A parishioner of Hamilton's St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pat was always known to cook many loaves of bread and cakes to support to her church, especially when it came to church suppers. Her family was the center of Pat's life and her love for her husband, children, grandchildren, and other family members knew no bounds. She will always be remembered for her unconditional love, and always putting others' first, before herself. Not to be lost was her wit and humor, always with a smile or chuckle whether in a sly way or not she enjoyed the occasional barb in jest and always quick to offer a surprise that often times let you know you had a pulse.Pat is survived by her children: Kelly Randall and her husband George, of Hudson Falls, H.Donald Philhower, Jr., and his wife Jeannie, of Hubbardsville, Daniel J. Philhower, Sr, and his Partner, Judy, also of Hubbardsville; her brother, Kevin Marx, and his wife Patsy, of Shirley, NY. Ten grandchildren, Jennifer, Jerry, H. Donald III, Kiamesha, Eddie, Danny, William, Derek, Patrick, Catherine.
