Nancy L. Goodrich
Oneida-Nancy L. Goodrich, 63, passed away unexpectedly at the Wynn Hospital, on Thursday, May 15, 2025, shortly following admission.
She was born on February 25, 1962 at Travis Air Force Base, the daughter of the late Carl and Shirley Scott Goodrich. Nancy was raised in a loving and caring home in Georgetown with Carl and Shirley for much of her life. She was a graduate of the Otselic Valley School District’s Special Education Program at the Norwich BOCES, graduating the Class of 1983. Following high school, Nancy went to work at ARC Alterative Industries. In her later years, Nancy moved to Oneida to be with the IRA, where she was loving cared for by the staff members. She enjoyed any moment, no matter the occasion, to spend time with family and friends. She loved county music, reading, doing word search books and looking at photo albums. She never forgot a person’s name once she met them. Her overflowing love for all, along with her smile that would brighten anyone’s day, will be missed, but not forgotten.
Nancy is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Chuck Slate; her nieces and nephews: Danielle (Teddy) Jerome, Kristen (Kyle) Cashman, Alexis Slate, and her great nephew Joseph Jerome; her brother and sister-in-law Steve and Laurie Goodrich; her nephews Aaron Goodrich and Aiden Goodrich; her brother Frank (Debby) Goodrich; her niece Erika Goodrich, and her nephew Ryan Goodrich. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and her loving staff family members at the IRA, especially: Haley, Robben, and Jessica.
She was predeceased by her mother and father, Shirley and Carl.
