Michael "Mike" E. RifenburgMunnsville-Michael "Mike" E. Rifenburg, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, June 5th 2019, at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, with family by his side. He was born August 26, 1960, in Aberdeen, Maryland. to Eugene and Roxyann (Streeter) Rifenburg. He was a 1979 graduate of Stockbridge Valley School. He was a Army Veteran and a member of the Munnsville American Legion Post. Mike married Maryann Mennig on August 17,1985 in Pratts Hollow. He retired from National Grid in July of 2017, after 33 years with the company. Mike was always joking and had an infectious smile. An avid outdoorsman, Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and even mowing his lawn. He was the happiest when he was cooking and spending time with his family. Mike had the largest heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone (if you could catch him wearing one). He is survived by his wife, Maryann; his children, Ryan, Renee and Christopher; his parents, Eugene and Roxyann; a brother, James (Debra); several nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved dog Piper.He is predeceased by his sister, Kim. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Crouse for their tremendous care. Family and friends are invited to attend Mike's visitation on Monday, June 10, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., at the Paul Funeral Home, 3592 South Street, Madison.
