Michael E. King
Munnsville-Michael E. King, 52, a life area resident, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, surrounded by his family, at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.
Mike was born in Hamilton, on September 2, 1969, the son of Harold and Jane Coleman King. He grew up in Munnsville, and graduated from Stockbridge Valley Central School in 1987. Following high school, Mike had a lengthy career with Manth-Brownell located in North Chittenango. He presently holds the position of Finishing Department Team Leader at Ferris Industries located in Sherrill. On May 16, 2009, Mike was united in marriage to Verna M. Hollenbeck. Mike was a “Man’s Man,” he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his big boy’s toys; his favorites were his side by side and his tractor. No matter what “toy” came out, Mike enjoyed them with his family, and especially his grandkids. Mike always made time for family, and leaves behind a legacy of special memories for his grandchildren, which were the “center” of his world.
He is survived by his beloved wife and soul mate, Verna; his beloved mother, Jane King of Oneida; his son Allen M. King of Fenner; his step sons and their wives, David A. (Irma) Hollenbeck of New Hartford, and John R. (Cindy) Wilson of Oneida; his beloved sister and her husband, Tina and Brian Livermore of Madison; his cherished and beloved five grandchildren: Amara Wilson, age 9, Nathan Wilson, Age 7, Kairi Wilson, age 4, Gianni Talerico, age 11, and Cayson Hollenbeck, age 2. Mike is also survived by his constant companion, his fur baby, a Boxer named Max. Mike is also survived by numerous aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many treasured longtime friends.
Mike was predeceased by his father, Harold King in 2007 and his grandparents; John and Elizabeth Coleman, Leon and Eva Mennig, and Leland and Mildred King.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, August 29, 2022, from 1-3 PM, and 5-7 PM, at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison. Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of the evening calling hours. Private family interment service will be made in Stockbridge Cemetery.
