Michael F. JaquayBrookfield-Michael F. Jaquay, 69, a life resident of Brookfield, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 27, 2018.He was born at the New Berlin Hospital on December 22, 1948, the son of the late Alfred F. "Buck" and Alma H. Burgess Jaquay. Mike was a graduate of Brookfield Central School. Following high school, Mike entered the United States Army, serving in Vietnam, and continued to serve his Country until his retirement in 1991. On February 9, 1974, in Waterville, Mike married the love of his life, Jacqueline Townsend. Following his retirement, Mike and his family returned home to Brookfield. He enjoyed all the nature that Brookfield provided including; gatherings at "Camp," hunting, and fishing. Mike also enjoyed, after all the years of being away in the Army, being close to his parents and other family members. Mike was a member of the Clinton VFW Post 9591. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all that loved him.Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years Jackie, his children: Michael A. Jaquay and his wife Roseann, of Bridgewater, Jaime Jaquay-Trudell, of Brookfield, Shelley Jaquay, of Brookfield, Moreen Jaquay-Trainer and her husband Joe of PA, and Marc Bikowsky and his wife Danielle, of Hamilton; his sister Penny Stiles and her husband Pete, of Homer, his aunts Sylvia Crandall and her husband Jim, of Waterville, Myrtle Furness, of Waterville, Laura Stetson, of North Brookfield, and Lilly Johnson, of Waterville; as well as thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.Mike was predeceased by his parents, Buck and Alma. His sister, Ernestine Jellerson passed away on the same day as Mike.Graveside burial services with Military Honors will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, at the South Brookfield Cemetery, with Rev. Mark Thall officiating. There will be no public calling hours. Following the interment services, "A Celebration of Mike's Life" will be held at the Johnson-Rogers American Legion, Post 1492, 10789 Miner Road, Brookfield. Funeral services are under the direction of the Paul Funeral Home of Brookfield. In memory of Mike, consider a donation to either, Bridgewater Fire Dept. Ambulance, P.O.
