Marydee Mennig MootBouckville-Marydee Mennig Moot, 54, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Community Memorial Hospital, with her beloved family at her side.She was born at the former Canastota Hospital, along with her twin sister, Maryann on March 31, 1962, the daughter of the late Albert C. and Dolores E. Davis Mennig. Marydee was raised in the Peterboro-Morrisville area, graduated from Morrisville High School. A devoted mother, she enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for not only her daughters, but other local children. Marydee had a great fondness for a simple life, the pleasure of mowing her lawn, summer bonfires, a quiet moment with nature the outdoors as well as trips to the casino just to name a few. She will be remembered most for the love she gave to her children, grandchildren, her sisters and brothers. Any moment with her family was precious and unforgettable. Marydee is survived by her two daughters, Nicole (Jim) Craver, of Bouckville, and Amanda Moot, of Eaton; their father Howard Moot, and her brothers and sisters, Douglas Mennig, of Morrisville, her twin, Maryann (Michael) Rifenburg, of Munnsville, Roxanne Mennig, of Munnsville, Randy (Deanna) Mennig, of Morrisville, Julie (Michael) Marshall, of Munnsville; 6 beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Christian, Kaylee, Margaret, Autumnrose, and Sheldon James. As well as several nieces, and nephews.She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Dolores.Marydee's family extend heartfelt thanks to the doctors and the staff at Community Memorial Hospital for the loving and compassionate care given to Marydee.Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 3PM at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison, with the Rev. Neil Coe, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Although, the family requests your presence at the American Legion in Munnsville to celebrate the life of Marydee Mennig-Moot following the service.
