Mary Ellen JohnsonBrookfield-Mary Ellen Johnson, 81, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, November 24, 2019, with the love and support of her family by her side, at the Siegenthaler Center.She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Byron E. "Red" Johnson, Jr. Mary Ellen loved reading, puzzles, and gardening. Her greatest love and joy were spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They all were the "Center of Her World," and held them closest to her heart. The love that Mary Ellen gave to her family will be forever in their hearts, with many fond memories of her life well lived.She is survived by her three children: Linda (Wayne) Tanney, Byron "Barney" Johnson, III, and his companion, Deb Woolsey, and Terry (John) King; her beloved and adored nine grandchildren: Trisha (Jeff) Moesch, Jay (Amy) King, Tanya (Matt) Wilcox, James "Bubba" (Jaime) King, Allen (Liz) King, Andrew (Stephanie) King, Chad Johnson and his companion, Samantha Young, Lindsay Johnson and her companion, Corey Plows, and Shelby King; her twelve great grandchildren: Alley, Tyler, Ashley, Cody, Alex, Rylee, Ryan, Bethany, Charley, Tanner, Brinley and Payton. All are welcome to attend "A Celebration of Mary Ellen's Life" to be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019, starting at 2:00 PM at the Johnson Rogers American Legion Post # 1492, 10789 Miner Road, Brookfield. In keeping with Mary Ellen's wishes, her family will attend a private burial service in Brookfield Rural Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Brookfield.
