Mary Jane TurnerMadison-Mary Jane Peters Brouilette Turner, 82, went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, June 29, 2017, with her very loving and supportive family at her side.She was born May 10, 1935, in Vernon, the daughter of the late Clayton and Martha Kitchen Peters. Mary Jane lived on the home farm in Augusta, until her marriage to Tom M. Brouillette in April of 1955. Together, they owned and operated a farm on Strip Road for 26 years. Tom died in July of 1994. They divorced in 1981, together, they had six cherished children. On August 16, 1985, Mary Jane married George E. Turner and made their home in Madison. George died in June of 2009. George had owned and operated the Cassidy Hollow Feed Mill. Mary Jane was a caregiver, and for numerous years had worked at Community Memorial Hospital as a Nurse's Aide. She previously worked at Harding's Nursing Home. She retired from CMH in 2000. Mary Jane had been a member of the Madison United Methodist Church since 1995. She was a member of the Madison Historical Society, The Oriska Valley Seniors, and the Leather Stocking J's. Mary Jane camped with George at many places, and traveled from coast to coast in their motorhome. She especially enjoyed group bus trips. Mary Jane had many hobbies after retiring, to include: gardening, sewing, bowling, needle work, dancing, line dancing, creating afghans for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and dining out with family members and friends. Her greatest love of all was for her family and Lord, Mary Jane was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.Surviving are her children, Thomas Brouillette, Alfred Brouillette and his life companion, Christine Austin, Roger Brouillette, Rudy and Karen Klein Brouillette, Bernard and Lisa Luenburger Brouillette, Kathy Brouillette, and her life companion, Greg Perry; her daughter-in-law, Melanie Smith Brouillette;16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Her siblings; William Peters, Lois and Phillip Fairchild, Laura Fuess, and Thomas Peters, and his companion Rosie Crane; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Turner, and her life companion, Leonard Morris, and Anne Turner. Mary Janes is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and her "church family".She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Peters Waterman, her brother-in-law, Sidney Fuess, her in laws, William and Mary Jane Turner, Ralph Turner, Ernie and Beulah Staleans, Robert and June Kemp, and John and Doris Brouillette. Mary Jane's family would like to thank all the staff of the Bassett Healthcare's and Upstate's Oncology Unit, and the nurses of Hospice for the compassionate care given to Mary Jane.Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017, at 3pm, at the Madison United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Raymond Lighthall, officiating. Interment will be in Deansboro Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the church from Noon-3 PM prior to the service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
