Mary Ann EgererHamilton-Mary A. Egerer, 92, passed away peacefully, with the love and support of her family at her side, on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Crouse Hospital.She was born on August 31, 1925, in Morristown, NJ, the daughter of the late Neil and Elsie Mae Hill Lepre. Mary received her education at Morristown High School. She was united in marriage to William F. Egerer on April 2, 1945. Their loving union lasted 44 years, until Bill's passing in 1989. Mary had worked numerous years at Syracuse Plastics, located in Fayetteville. In 1986, she retired and moved to the Hamilton area. She started her second career working in the cafeteria for the Hamilton School District, a position she enjoyed. Mary was a master of word puzzles, and a known, "card shark." She enjoyed cooking wonderful meals for her family, and thoroughly loved those family moments. Mary loved sitting on her porch to marvel at the picturesque beauty of Lebanon Reservoir. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt, who will be missed by all those who loved her.Mary is survived by her son Neil W. Egerer, Sr., and her daughter Darlene M. Curtis, her beloved grandchildren, Neil W. Egerer, Jr., and Jeremy Egerer, both of Chittenango, William Egerer, Tyler Curtis, and Shelby Curtis, all of Hamilton; great grandson, Gavin Egerer, of Earlville; her sister, Ann Jones, of Fort Smith, AK; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends.She was predeceased by her parents, Neil and Elsie Mae, her beloved husband, Bill, and her brother Walt Lepre. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours for Mary on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 2-4 PM at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.Funeral services will be held graveside in the spring, at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery,in Hamilton.
