Oriskany Falls-Mary E. Bourdeau, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Waterville Residential Care Center.

Mary was born in Oriskany Falls on September 6, 1938, the daughter of the late Cyril and Mary Yeckel Reilly.  She graduated from Oriskany Falls High School in 1955. On July 25, 1959, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, in Oriskany Falls, she married Marvin J. Bourdeau. Mary had worked at the former Chesebrough Ponds Factory for 25 years, retiring in 1998. Mary was known for her warm smile and caring heart.  There was always a place at the dinner table for anybody at the house.   Most of all, Mary devoted her heart and soul to her family, they were the “center” of her world.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Marv; her daughter and son-in-law Michele  Bourdeau and Jody Sherman of Oriskany Falls; her daughter Marianne Bourdeau Witkowski  (Russell Clements), both of Oriskany Falls; her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Bourdeau of Waterville; her sister Diane Howe of Deansboro;  her sister-in-law Lavina Reilly of Oriskany Falls; her beloved grandchildren: Patrick Bourdeau, Bret Bourdeau, Eric Witkowski and Ethan Witkowski.  Mary is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Cyril and Mary; her two beloved sons Mark and Michael Bourdeau; her sister Teresa Lemery; and her two brothers Raymond and Frederick Reilly.

Mary’s family sends heartfelt thanks to all the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the Waterville Residential Care Center for the compassionate care given to Mary over the last seven years.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 3 PM, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Oriskany Falls. In keeping with Mary’s wishes there will be no calling hours.  Funeral and family care is being personally provided by Jeffrey T. Paul, Director, of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
