Marjorie A. OwenBrookfield-Marjorie A. Owen, 88, a life resident to Brookfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the Waterville Residential Care Center.She born on January 12, 1933, in Duthen, Alabama, the daughter of the late Sam Edward and Mary Etta Rooney Irvin. Marge's family traveled between Alabama and Florida in her youth. In her twenties, she moved to the Brookfield area. Marge was predeceased by her first husband Edward Abrams. She later married Stephen Owen, who also predeceased Marge. She was a stay-at-home mom, who enjoyed caring for her husband and children. Yet, Marge had the look of a movie star, making sure her outward appearance was beautiful and fashionable; by coordinating her make-up, jewelry, and outfits. She took pride in maintaining the family home and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, and in later years, her grandchildren. All were always welcome, but only if the washed their hand before sitting at the dinner table. Marge had a fondness of Bingo. Her family was Marge's world, she embraced each one always with motherly love. She will be deeply missed by all that loved her.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Jackie Abrams of Brookfield; her son Stephen Owen, and his life companion, Ann Vernette of Brookfield; her daughter and her life companion, Stephanie Risley and Randy Abrams of Waterville; Her brother and sister-in-law Robert and Judy Irvin of Ilion; 12 grandchildren; 24 greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Marge was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Mary Etta; her husband's Ed and Stephen; and her daughter Kathy Donnely.Her family will gather privately to celebrate Marge's Life at the Paul Funeral Home of Brookfield. Her burial will take place in Brookfield Rural Cemetery. Marg's family have entrusted their care to the Paul Funeral Home of Brookfield.
