Marjorie S. AmmonBrookfield- Marjorie S. Ammon, 95, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Waterville Residential Care Center after a long illness.She was born February 28, 1924, in Sennett, New York, the daughter of the William and Gertrude McComb Short, who predeceased her. She graduated from Weedsport Central School. Marjorie served in the South Pacific during World War II, in the United States Army, as a supply clerk. She married Carter Ammon on December 15, 1945. They shared a loving reunion of marriage for 56 years. Marjorie retired from Nichols Oxygen Service in Hyde Park, New York.Marjorie is survived by her children: Karen Nowak, Susan Ammon (Robert Palmer), Virginia Ammon, Linda Keery (Jack), Carter Ammon, Jr., (Margaret); Nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and her sister, Beverly Foley.She was predeceased by her husband; her sisters, Elizabeth Cona, Patricia Gleason, Gertrude Short and her brothers, Sam Short, William Short, Richard Short, Thomas Short, Douglas Short and David Short.Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family. Marjorie will be interned in the Moravian Cemetery on Staten Island, New York. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Brookfield.
