Margaret "Peggy" Myers Obituary

Margaret B. "Peggy" MyersBrookfield-Margaret B. "Peggy" Myers, 75, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, in her home.Peggy was born on June 29, 1940, in Utica, the daughter of the late John Booth and Katherine Davis Booth. As a young child, Peggy's family had moved to California. She returned to Brookfield in her youth and was a graduate of Brookfield High School. On August 15, 1959, at the Brookfield First Baptist Church, Peggy married Frederick G. Myers. Their loving union lasted over 55 years, until Fred's passing in 2014. She enjoyed a 30-year career with the United States Postal Service retiring as the Post Master of the Brookfield Post Office. Peggy enjoyed her daily interactions with her customers, who she all considered friends. Halloween was a special time at the Post Office, she would dress for the occasion and hand out treats to the local children, and she enjoyed decorating her home making Halloween, Christmas and every holiday a festive occasion. Peggy and Fred had also been in partnership with two other couples in the ownership of the Bridgewater Bowling Alley. Peggy enjoyed reading, gardening, going to the casino, having lunches with her friends, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling the Country by train, plane and automobile and enjoyed taking trips to Florida visiting Nicole, Manish and her grandchildren. Both Peggy and Fred were known for their sense of humor, their love of the casino, their robust love of life and compassion and kindness as always "being there" to lend a helping hand. Peggy will most be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, amazing mother and grandmother. Peggy is survived by her beloved children, Lance, of Brookfield, and Nicole, and her husband Manish Sharma, of Lutz, FL; her brothers, John Booth, of Modesto, CA, and Russell Booth, of Vallejo, CA; her sister June Gray of Brookfield; and her beloved and cherished grandchildren, Devin and Maya; and numerous nieces and nephews.Peggy was predeceased by the love of her life, Fred, her brothers, William "Bill" Booth, and Joseph Booth, and her sister, Ann McClintock.Peggy's family will be greeting relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 4-7 PM at the Paul Funeral Home, 10426 Church Street in Brookfield.
