Oriskany Falls-Margaret Ingalls, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 14, 2016, at her home with her loving children, and family at her side.She was born in Nelson, August 5,1926, the daughter of the late Daniel and Lula Harvey Ward. Margaret grew up in Pratts Hollow and graduated from Stockbridge High School. On December 15, 1945, in Stockbridge, she married Edwin H. Ingalls. Their loving union lasted 49 years, until Edwin's passing in 1994. Margaret was a devote wife and stay at home mom, for her three daughters. She was a life member of the Augusta Presbyterian Church. She loved to square dance and enjoyed the thrill of auctions. Margaret will most be remembered by the way that she embraced and loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.Margaret is survived by her three beloved daughters and their husbands, Linda and Robert Schmidt, of Vernon Center, Flora and Clifford Woodcock, of Oneida, and Helen and Michael Hynes, of Madison; her sister, Leona Failing, of Hamilton; her beloved grandchildren:Angela (Michael) Leary, Robert Leuenberger, Debra Smith (Nate George), Brenda (Heath) Millson, Jacklyn( TJ Charles) Hopkins, Tracey Lewis (Daniel Campos),Wendy (Robert) Eastman, Renee (Brian) Neidhart, Forrest Schmidt, Rebecca (Ted) Castka, Leif (Audrey) Schmidt, Angela Hynes, and Michelle Hynes; beloved great grandchildren:Courtney, Michael, Allison, Jonathan, Kayla, Zachary, Brianne, Trey, Teagan, Morgan, Brett, Heidi, Keith, Bobby, Chloe, Molly, Indy, Ryan, Benjamin, Beatrix, Dennis, Emily, Justice, Kaitlyn, Makenzie, and Thomas; two great, great grandchildren Levi and Lyla; numerous nieces and nephews.Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Edwin and her son-in-law, Stephen Hayduke both in 1994. Margaret was the youngest of 9 children and was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters.Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 12:30 PM, at the Augusta Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jay Williams, Pastor, officiating. Spring interment will be in Skinner Cemetery, Vernon Center.
