Lyn A. MeyerHomosassa, FL-Lyn A. Shoemaker Meyer,64, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Spring Hill Health Facility. Born on October 24, 1952 in Hamilton, Lyn was the daughter of the late Stuart Shoemaker and Roseann Hitchcock. Lyn spent her early years in Bouckville, attending Madison High School and later Hamilton High School. Her family moved to Springfield, Massachusetts, where she graduated from Springfield High School. On February 15, 1980, Lyn married Ed Meyer, who she spent her life with, making their home in Homosassa, FL, until his passing in 2002. She was employed for many years at Brannen Bank in Inverness, FL. Lyn was a devoted wife, sister, and aunt. She will most be remembered for her big smile, her unforgettable laugh, and her ‘tell it like it is' attitude by all who knew her. Besides her husband, Ed, Lyn was predeceased by her parents and step parents.Lyn is survived by her sister and brother in law, Barb and John Clark, of Bouckville; a nephew, Stan Clark, of Bouckville; a niece, Gail Pelky, of Bouckville; and great nephews, Dustin and Devan Pelky. Lyn is also survived by her best friend, Sandy Atkinson, who was a dedicated and unwavering friend, to whom Lyn's family are forever grateful. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of Lyn's family. There will be no public calling hours.
