Linda L. Rashford Snyder
Hamilton-Linda L. Rashford Snyder, 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Hamilton’s Community Memorial Hospital with her children by her side.
She was born in Utica on August 11, 1952, the daughter of the late Lewis and Eleanor Welch Rashford. Linda was raised in Knoxboro. She attended Knoxboro School and was a graduate of Madison Central High School. She had worked at Hamilton College and the Children’s Center at SUNY Morrisville. Not only through her work, but throughout Linda’s life long journey, she made long lasting friendships. Linda always stayed busy play Sudoku. Linda was always knitting, and especially loved knitting baby sweater sets and blankets. Linda’s world evolved around her children. She loved her daily chats or texts with her children and friends.
Linda is survived by her cherished children: Jason Snyder, Sonya Snyder, Tammy (Jim) Still, Wendy (Rich) Looman, Tanisha Fuess, and Ryan Fuess; her cherished grandchildren: Haley (Shawn) Furner; Colvin, Hunter and Blake Ertley; Janelle, Jillian, Kenzie, and Maddyson Looman; her beloved and cherished great grandchildren: Ryker, Wyatt, Parker, and Emmett Furner; her siblings: James (Sandy) Rashford, Lois Durant, William (Wendy) Rashford; many nieces and nephews and her close friends Charlene Cotter and Carol Ano. Linda is also survived by many other close friends that she had met on the “highway” of life.
She was predeceased by her parents Lewis and Eleanor.
Linda’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff at Community Memorial Hospital. Your kindness and compassionate care will never be forgotten.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 5 PM at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison. There will be calling hours at the funeral home located at 3592 South Street in Madison from 3 PM until 5 PM prior to the funeral service. Interment services will be private and at the convenience of the family in Madison Village Cemetery. Personal care is being provided for Linda and her family by Jeffrey T.
