L. Douglas ReevesMadison-Laverne Douglas Reeves, 66, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017.Doug was born in Utica, on April 12, 1950, and raised in Madison by his parents, Lavern and Pauline Coffee Fredericks. He was a graduate of Madison High School. Doug had owned a mechanical shop in Madison, repairing anything with a motor. He retired from the Town of Madison Highway Department where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. Doug was a devoted son and brother. Doug is survived by his beloved mother, Pauline Ames, of Madison; his brother, Richard Reeves, and his life partner, Robert Adsit, of Madison; and several cousins. Doug also leaves two very close friends, Dick Bassett and Joe Pisiak, Jr. Doug was predeceased by his father, Laverne, his grandparents, William and Iva Lou Coffee, his uncle, Roy Coffee, and his aunts, Marion Knisley and Edna Bikowsky. Graveside services will be at a time to be announced at Madison Village Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours.
