Laura T. YoungEaton - Laura T. Young entered into eternal rest on December 9, 2017.Laura was born in Oneida Hospital on July 10, 1931, the daughter of the late Clarence J. and Gwendoline Foote Thurston. She was raised on the Foote family farm in Munnsville, where she grew to appreciate nature. In 1954 she married Raymond L. Young. Their loving union lasted 61 years, until Raymond's passing in 2015. Laura had worked at Oneida Limited and at Vantine Studios in Hamilton, prior to her retirement. Laura was a member of the Eaton Community Church and Pratts Hollow Church. She enjoyed the fellowship of being in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eaton Church. Laura was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and close friend. Laura enjoyed gardening and walking her cocker spaniel Wiggles. Laura is survived by her daughter, Louise Young, and her friend, Sandy; her daughter Kim Proper, and her husband, Steve; two grandchildren, Gwen Proper and Ethan Proper, and his wife, Leah; two sisters, Jean Omans and Clarenal Koba; and a close niece, Javene Young; also, many other nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at a date to be announced. Interment will be in Eaton Cemetery.
