Kenneth C. "Jip" JipsonDeansboro-Kenneth C. "Jip" Jipson, 89, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at the Presbyterian Home.He was born on March 11, 1929, in Morrisville, the son of the late Carl and Grace Colvin Jipson. Jip was a graduate of Morrisville High School. In 1950 in Madison Center, he married Eleanor Morris. Jip had made his career as a tractor-trailer driver. He had worked over thirty years for Madison Silo; numerous years at CT Express of Durhamville; and the Town of Augusta. Jip loved his "home time" with his wife Zip, his family, and friends. He was of the Methodist Faith.Jip is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Eleanor "Zip" Jipson; Jip's in-laws, Leonard Morris, Marilynn Turner, and Jeanette Campbell; and his niece, Gail Blau. Jip is also survived by other nieces, nephews, and close friends.He was predeceased by his sisters: Pearl DeGroat, Gladys Richmond, and Thelma Taylor.Jip's family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Presbyterian Home for the loving care given to Jip. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018, 1:30 PM, at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison. Interment will be in Stockbridge Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM prior to the service. Following the services, there will be a "Celebration of Jip's Life" to be held at the Madison Fire Department's Fireman's Hall, all are invited.
