North Brookfield-Keitha C. Kelly, 95, a life resident of North Brookfield, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at the Katherine Lutheran Home, surrounded by her family offering their love and support for their mother.
She was born at the family home in North Brookfield on February 5, 1927, the daughter of the late George A. and Louise Flunder Clark. Keitha was a graduate of Waterville Central High School. On July 30, 1948, Keitha was united in marriage to Glenn R. Kelly. Together they brought seven beautiful cherish children into this world. In her earlier years, Keitha had worked at the Waterville Knitting Mill. As their family grew, Keitha was a stay at home mom. A position she enjoyed running the family home and caring for the children’s needs. Both Glenn and Keitha were able to watch the children grow into adulthood, and witness the birth of their grandchildren. Their beautiful union lasted nearly 51 years, until Glenn’s passing in 1999. Keitha continued on caring for the family home and her family. She would always find time to keep up on the work at home. She especially loved to go garage sales and finding “‘treasures” that made her day. Her greatest treasurer was her family, and her love for all knew no boundaries.
Keitha is survived by her children and their spouses: Hoyt and Linda Hughes Kelly, Judy and Kenneth Manner, Colleen and Carl Diehl, Donna and Steve Walker, Linda Kelly and Bernard and Karen Kelly; and Keitha’s sister-in-law, Arliene Kelly. Keitha is survived by her cherish 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents George and Louise, her beloved husband Glenn, her cherished son, Glenn E. Kelly, who passed while serving his country in Vietnam on January 5, 1971; her six siblings: Lonnel Kelley, Ariel Roe, Bethany Warner, Aversa Mason, Blythe White and Richard Clark..
Ketha’s family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff of Lutheran Care’s assisted living unit, and the members and staff of the Gordon Unit. Your compassion to our mother will never be forgotten.
