Karen L. Meyer
Madison-Karen L. Meyer, 57, passed away peacefully, in her sleep with her beloved husband and soulmate, Ross by her side early Thanksgiving morning, November 24, 2022, at her home following a courageous battle against cancer.
Karen was born on December 12, 1964, the daughter of John and Beverly Young Lindfield. She grew up in Clinton and was a 1983 graduate of Clinton High School. Right after high school, Karen was blessed, and married her high school sweetheart, Ross Meyer. Together they raised their two wonderful sons, Justin and Corey. Karen had made her career as a building custodian, for the last twenty years she had been employed by Colgate University. Prior to Colgate, Karen had been employed by Lutheran Care in Clinton. Karen had many “loves” in her life. Her family and especially her two beloved grandchildren were the most important. She had a passion for the sun and sand, especially Myrtle Beach. Her rock garden and flower beds were spectacular. She always found the Adirondacks beautiful no matter what time of year. Her love of her family will be deeply missed.
Karen is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Ross; her son and daughter-in-law Justin and Angela Meyer of Smyrna; her son Cory Meyer of Madison; her two precious and beloved grandchildren, Katie Lee and Austin Grant Meyer of Smyrna; her cherished mother, Beverly Linfield of Clinton; her sister Robin Orsino of Clinton; her brothers and sister-in-law, Stuart and Janet Lindfield of Deansboro, and Jeffrey and Carey Lindfield of West Winfield. Karen is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father John Lindfield, and her brother-in-law Benjamin “Ben” Orsino.
Funeral services will be held on December 3, 2022 at 1 PM at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison. Interment will follow in Madison Village Cemetery.
