John Bikowsky Sr.
Madison-John Bikowsky Sr., 85, passed away peacefully at his home on February 17, 2023.
John was born on the family farm in Knoxboro on May 5, 1937, the son of the late Pavel and Anna Caplap Bikowsky. Raised on the family farm, John attended the one room school house in Knoxboro and later graduated from Stockbridge High School. He was a hard working farmer all his life. He enjoyed restoring antique farm equipment. John was a life long Honory Member of the Mohawk Valley Power of the Past. He had also worked for the Town of Madison as a Snow Plow Operator.
John is survived by his children and their spouses: Paul “Butch” Bikowsky and Crystal Strain of Madison, Steven and Mary Bikowsky of of Hillsboro, OH, John Jr. and Patricia Bikowsky of Madison, and Sandra and Joseph Mazor of Deansboro; 16 beloved grandchildren and 16 beloved great grandchildren.
John was predeceased by his parents, Pavel and Anna, his brother Stephen and his sister Mary Anne Baker.
A very special thank you to Sandra and Paul for the care they gave their Dad during his last few years.
There will be a visitation held for John at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 4-6 pm, at the funeral home, 3592 South Street in Madison. Services will follow the visitation. Spring Interment will be in Madison Village Cemetery. John and his family are being provided personal care by Jeffrey T. Paul, Director of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
