Joan S. MosherBouckville-Joan S. Mosher, 87, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017, with the love and support of her family at her side, at the Crouse Community Center.She was born on June 11, 1930, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Claude and Beryl McAtee Stibbs. Her family moved to the Syracuse area when Joan was a young girl. They later moved to Madison and Joan graduated from Madison High School. She received her Associate's Degree from Utica College. On October 14, 1950, in Hamilton, Joan married the love of her life, Howard F. Mosher. Together, Howard and Joan raised their 5 children and worked diligently on the family produce farm. Joan was a true, "farm wife and mom" finding the balance of caring for her husband and children, while tending to the demands of the produce farm. Their joyous union of 41 years came to an end with the passing of Howard in 1991. Joan enjoyed her winters in the Florida Keys but always was ready to come back to the family farm in the spring. She enjoyed working at the family produce stand, along with other family members. She always welcomed friends, neighbors, and customers with a warm smile and wonderful conversation. Joan will be remembered for her loving and caring nature as a wife, mother, and grandmother.Joan is survived by her daughter, Victoria and son-in-law, Andrew Migonis of Hamilton; her sons and daughters-in-law; Doug and Jeanne Mosher, of Morrisville, Terry and Stephanie Mosher, of Bouckville, and Gary Mosher, of Seattle, WA., brother-in-law, Phil Smith of Charlottesville, VA; her cherished 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, with two more soon to arrive and several nieces and nephews.Joan was predeceased by her parents, Claude and Beryl; her husband, Howard, and her daughter, Cynthia J. Mosher Marshall.There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A service will immediately follow officiated by the Rev. John Camp. Interment service will be private.
