Jeffrey J. LohrRome-Jeffrey J. Lohr, 54, formerly of Oneida, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, January 4, 2018, at the Colonial Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Home.Jeff was born in Oneida, on April 18, 1963, the son of Joseph and Marie Bonaventura Lohr. He grew up in Oneida and graduated in 1981 from Oneida High School. Jeff was a free spirt and moved to California, where he lived for numerous years. Jeff was a house painter by trade; and a love of the great outdoors for its hunting and fishing. But his real passion was motorcycle racing and motocross racing. He developed his skills as a motorcyclist at an early age, and was an experienced competitive racer. In 2000, he returned to the Oneida area. In 2002, Jeff was involved in a snowmobiling accident, which left him in constant nursing care for the past 16 years. Jeff had a smile that "lit up" a room and a deep love for his nieces and nephews. He will be most remembered as devoted son, brother, uncle, and a friend that you could always count on. Jeff is survived his parents, Joe and Marie Lohr, of York, SC; his brother, David Lohr, of Oneida; his sisters, Pamela Hellwig, Nashua, NH, and Shelly Haase, of Rockhill, SC. Several aunts, uncles, beloved nieces, beloved nephews, and close friends also survive Jeff.Private family funeral services will be held at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
