Jason “Buddha” Snyder
Oriskany Falls-Jason John Snyder, 50, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
Jason was born at Dr. Hoch’s office in Oriskany Falls on July 20, 1973, the son of John Snyder and Linda Rashford Snyder. He grew up in Madison and attended Madison High School. Jason went on to be educated in the construction trades. He was known as an excellent wood worker. He was a devoted father and deeply loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Haley and Shawn Furner; his father and stepmother John and Nancy Snyder; his sisters: Sonya Snyder, Tammy (Jim) Still, Wendy (Rich) Looman, and Tanisha Fuess; many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and close friends. Jason also is survived by his cherished grandchildren: Ryker, Wyatt, Parker, and Emmett.
Jason was predeceased by his mother Linda, his maternal grandparents Lewis and Eleanor Rashford; his paternal grandparents Malcolm “Mac” Snyder Sr., and Ruth Snyder.
Graveside services will be held this spring in Madison Cemetery with a celebration of Jason’s life to follow at a date, time, and place to be announced. His family will gather privately for a funeral service to be held at the Paul Funeral Home with the Rev. Jennifer Neidhart, Pastor, officiating.
