Janice M. Gregory

Oriskany Falls-Janice M. Gregory, 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 9, 2023, at St. Luke’s Medical Center.

Janice was born in Hamilton on September 5, 1949, the daughter of the late Morris and Frances (Redmond) Smith. She grew up on Crow Hill and was a graduate of Madison High School.   Janice had spent over 20 years as a manager for Webb’s and Sons Lumber at their Sherburne Store.  Janice loved her cat Atticus.  She also enjoyed crocheting and crafting.  She was a devoted mother whose children were the center of her world.

She is survived by her children: Joe (Kelly Spoor) Bono Jr., Tom Bono, John (Jennifer) Bono, Mary (Harold) Reed, and Marsha (Bill) Loansbury; her brothers and sisters: Jimmy Smith, Grant (Debbie) Smith, Morris (Becky) Smith, Cheryl Smith, Patricia (David) Scheckler, Connie (Paul) Wratten, Randy (Iris) Smith, and Janet (Donald) Kemp.  Janice is survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Morris and Francis; her sister Joyce Krieman; her former husband David Gregory; and a step-son, Benjamin Gregory.

Her funeral will be held in the spring with a graveside service at the Morrisville Village Cemetery.  There are no calling hours or services at this time.  Funeral care is being personally provided by Jeffrey T.
