Janette I. “Dolly” Glouse
Bouckville-Janette I. Glouse, 89, lovingly called by everyone, Dolly, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Waterville Residential Care Center, following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Oriskany Falls, on May 1, 1934, the daughter of the late Frank and Bessie Tallman. Dolly was raised in Oriskany Falls and was a graduate of Madison High School. She married John F. Glouse, Sr., who predeceased Dolly in 2001. Dolly had worked at Trim Tronic’s in Cazenovia until her retirement. She had previously worked in the housekeeping department at the Colgate Inn. Dolly had a fondness for collecting various tea pots. She also enjoyed her time in the ceramics shop, making beautiful pieces for home, family, and friends. She was a member of the Bum’s Club and the Madison United Methodist Church. Most of all, Dolly was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her “world” was her family.
Dolly is survived by children: Jim and Annemarie Glouse of Oriskany Falls, Joe Glouse and his partner Bobbie Smith of Bouckville, and Jeffrey and Julie Glouse of Bouckville; her daughter-in-law Sally Glouse of Clinton; her step children: Jeannie LaMunion, Tommy LaMunion, and Connie LaMunion; sisters-in-law: Kathy Tallman, Georgia Tallman, Ella Burman, and Beverly Tallman; her cherished and loved grandchildren: Stephanie Talley, Chris Glouse, Paul Jones, Jennifer Jones, Courtney Glouse, Kevin Glouse, Ashley Gouse, Skyler Glouse Jordan Glouse, Payton Glouse, Megan Smith, Shane Glouse, Chelsie Glouse, Tabitha Kelly, Garrett Locash, and Jennifer Wickham; 17 cherished and loved great grandchildren. Dolly is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
She was predeceased by her husband John Sr. and her son, John Jr.; her brothers: Ronnie Tallman, Bud Tallman, Dick Tallman; her sisters Leelolya Monroe and Ella Burman.
Her family will honor Dolly’s Life privately with interment in Deansboro Cemetery. There will be no public services. Dolly and her family are being provided with personal and professional care by Jeffrey T. Paul, Director of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
