James E. JenningsBrookfield- James E. Jennings, 85, a life-long resident, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019, with the love and support of his family, at his home.Jim was born June 10, 1934, at the family home in Brookfield, the son of the late Floyd and Zennia Jennings. He was a graduate from Brookfield High School Class of 1951. . Jim married the former Bertha M. "Midge" Blair. Jim was a proud Air Force Veteran, having served during the Korean War. Jim had worked for 33 years at OW Hubble in Utica. He was a proud 60-year member of The Laborers' International Union of America. Jim was as equally proud to be a 63- year member of the Johnson Rogers America Legion Post 1492. In his spare time, Jim was an avid outdoors man, who loved hunting and fishing. He will be fondly missed, and most remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.Jim is survived by beloved wife of 59 years, Midge; his children; Debbie Johnson, Lori (Tim) Fitzpatrick, Rick (Tammy) Jennings; his beloved grandchildren, Chad Johnson, and his companion Samantha, Lindsay Johnson, and her companion Corey, and Brittany (Cory) Grey; beloved great-grandchildren: Bethany Plows, Brinley Plows, Carson Grey and Payton Johnson.Jim is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.He was predeceased by his parents, Floyd and Zennia: his brother, Royce Jennings; his 4 sisters: Eudora Cowen, Nora McClintock, Geraldine McNamara, and Josephine Morgan.Graveside funeral services, with Military Honors, will be held at a time to be announced this spring, at Brookfield Rural Cemetery. In keeping with Jim's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Brookfield.
