James K. DockrayEaton-James K. Dockray, age 91, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. He was born on August 1,1929, in Glen Rock, NJ, the son of James and Margaret Dockray. James spent most of his life in New Jersey where he was commander of the VFW in Franklin Lakes. James and his "bride" Donna moved to N.Y. upon retirement to be closer to family. They were married 66 years and raised 6 children together. James's favorite hobbies included watching NASCAR , tinkering in his garage, spending time with friends and family and spending many hours on his tractor as he loved the land. He was a fiercely patriotic veteran of the Korean War, where he received 2 bronze stars for his service. He was a proud member of the Madison/Morrisville American Legion Post # 1551. You may have seen him over the years driving his beloved army Jeep in the Memorial Day parades. Surviving are his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Merrie and Eric Krisl of Santa Rosa, CA; six children, James Dockray of Highland Lakes, NJ, Margaret (Nick] Rashford, Tracy (John) Klein, Brian Dockray all of Eaton, Robert (Dee) Dockray of Sherburne NY and Thomas Dockray of Glenwood NJ; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial contributions may be made to the Madison/Morrisville American Legion Post #1551, PO Box 172, Madison NY 13402. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held this spring. Interment will be made in Eaton Cemetery. His family is planning a Celebration of Life later this year. Jim's family have entrusted his care to the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
