Irene R. SchenkSherrill-Irene R. Schenk,83, passed away peacefully, on Monday, November 7, 2016, at Faxton-St.Luke's Medical Center, with her loving husband and son at her side.She was born in DeRuyter, on November 22, 1932, the daughter of the late Ronald and Edna Van Slyke Stevenson.Irene is survived by her loving husband, Ben; a son, Steven and two grandsons; Steven, Jr. and Brian, all of Knoxboro, one sister, Dorothy Colow, of Marathon, and several nieces and nephews.Her sister, Jeanne Marble, of Cortland, predeceased Irene.Private family funeral services were held on Friday, November 11, 2016, with the Rev. Gary Spraker, Pastor, of the Madison United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was made in Augusta Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
