Gregory "Greg" F. Jeffris Madison-On Monday, December 16, 2019, a life-long resident of Madison, Greg F. Jeffris, passed away with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 28, 1964 in Utica. He graduated from Madison High with his beloved Class of '82. He was also a SUNY Delhi graduate. Greg was a 20-year B&G employee at Colgate University. He spoke fondly of his co-workers and his time at Colgate. Greg loved taking trips on his Harley. He was an avid Duke basketball fan, and he loved to watch soccer. Greg was the biggest supporter of his two daughters, wife and grandson. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Greg is survived by his wife Cheryl "Sherry" Jeffris; daughters Stacy (Devon) Coleman and Taylor Jeffris; grandson Jax Coleman; parents Charlene (Mary Lynch) Jeffris and Lyle Jeffris; sister Tori (Ed) Carhart; and brother Mark (Kim) Jeffris; mother-in-law Sharon Davis; sisters-in-law, Pamela and Lynn Davis; and many nieces and nephews; numerous life-long friends and his Colgate University family. Greg is predeceased by his father-in-law Raymond Davis. A special thank you to Upstate Cancer Center, Oneida Office and Roswell Park Cancer Institute. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 5:00 PM, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Hamilton, with the Rev. David Mayo, Pastor, officiating. A "Celebration of Greg's Life" will follow the service at the church. Burial will be in Madison Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
