Grace Stolarcyk

Oriskany Falls- Grace Stolarcyk, 90, a life resident of the Village, and more recently of The Meadows, entered into eternal peace, on Thursday, January 26, 2023.  She will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was born on June 16, 1932, in Throop, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Ernest and Elizabeth Fink Malhenzie.  Grace grew up in Oriskany Falls and graduated from Oriskany Falls High School. Grace furthered her education by learning book keeping and accounting.  She spent over a fifty year career with former Owen’s Accounting Firm, which later became Becker’s Accounting Firm, both of Utica. She enjoyed spending time with her son Ed, up on her brother and sister-in-law’s, Herbie and Shirley’s “farm”. In the summer, she would gather everyone up, and take them on vacation with her.  Family was always the “center” of Grace’s life.

Grace leaves behind her son, Edward; her grandchildren, Kevin Stolarcyk, Christy (Mike) LaMonica, and Eddie Stolarcyk III; greatgrandchildren, Isabella and Dominic LaMonica; many nieces, nephews, and a special niece Cathy (Craig) VanArsdal.  She is also survived her sisters: Betty, Josephine, and Eleanor.

Grace was predeceased by her brothers: Herbie, Bernie, Ed, Charlie, and Junior.

In keeping with Grace’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services at this time.  Graveside services will be held in the spring at Hillside Cemetery, where Grace will be laid to rest next her beloved mother, Elizabeth.  Grace and her family are receiving personal care from Jeffrey T.
