Fay E. Dye, Sr.Brookfield-Fay E. Dye, Sr., 73, passed away peacefully at his home, with the love and support of his family, on Sunday, November 26, 2017.Fay was born in North Winfield on July 27, 1944, the son of the late Kenneth and Ethel Oliver Dye. As a young man, Fay develop a love for the great outdoors. His whole life revolved around being outside "doing something." He enjoyed hunting or just being in the woods enjoying nature's beauty. Fay had a life-long career that he enjoyed going to work, even in the worst weather conditions. He had been employed by the Town of New Berlin Highway Department, as a truck driver. Fay retired from the town with 35 years of service. He held a deep love and respect for his canine companions. Most of all, Fay was a family man and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and loyal friend.He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kathryn; his children, Lynne Caine, and her husband, James, Bonnie Dye, and Mike Dye; his step-children, Michael, Joe, and Chelsea; his sisters, Ernestine Manner, and her husband, Collie, Sharon Plows, and her husband, Doug; his brother, Albert "Tubby" Dye, and his wife Leta; many grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Fay was predeceased by his parents, Ken and Ethel; his beloved children Joyce and Jeffrey; his granddaughter, Adrianne; his sister, Betty Bice: and his brothers Leo Dye and Edwin "Cappy" Dye.In keeping with Fay's wishes, a celebration of his life will be held at a time to be announced this summer. There will be no services or calling hours. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Brookfield.
