Emery J. “Jake” Campell

Deansboro-Emery J. “Jake”  Campbell, (Jake), born December 27, 1931, in Tupper Lake, New York, passed away on March 11, 2026, at the age of 94.

Jake lived a long and full life defined by his love for the outdoors, his friends, and the many family members who meant so much to him. He was happiest in the woods, spending time hunting and making memories at camp with his friends. Those moments around campfires, in the quiet of the forest, and sharing stories with the people he cared about most were some of the things he treasured most in life. Jake enjoyed fishing and building his boats to go on fishing trips. Jake enjoyed playing cards, pitch was his favorite, with friends and family. Jake was known for his collision expertise and always helping people with their vehicles.

Jake was predeceased by his parents, a brother, 2 sisters and a loving daughter Christine Bennett. He leaves behind his wife Deborah Campbell, of 47 years; his children: Mickey Garbry, Bill Campbell, Mary Bisson, Martha Lloyd, Bob Campbell, Julie Engelbrecht and Will Campbell. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren and even great, great grandchildren. Jake is also survived by his special friends Jerry Hewitt and Lynn Starring; who he shared decades of memories and stories, his companionship, and the many good times shared together over the years. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Jake’s family came together to honor his life on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.  Keeping with Jake’s wishes, cremation was held at the Waterville Crematorium. A memorial gathering to celebrate Jake’s life will be held on March 22, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post #569 in Oriskany Falls, New York. Family and friends are invited to come together to share memories and honor a life well lived.
